Starbound Character Editor

You can start a new character and it plays in your same universe. They will have their own ship though and you'll lose your crew and various things, but you can pick up and / or take up anything else left in the universe or on planets with the new character.You can even change difficulties and you'll still find your stuff there in the same universe if you note down where it is.Just write down the coordinates of whatever planet you're leaving stuff on.If the one and only reason you're doing it is to change hairstyle - there used to be a program back in the earlier versions of Starbound that let you edit your characters appearance. It would just take the player file and edit the appearance right in it without needing to run any mods.That said, it hasn't been updated for a while (though still it was updated months after Starcheat was so there's at least a chance it works with 1.0) so it might not work with the newest releases. Some people claim that taking off all your armor and vanity pieces first in game before going to use the edit works, but I wouldn't know.This is the program that they used to do it with:As with any program, do your research first to make sure you're not downloading a trojan or virus (you're not, but you shouldn't trust me or anybody and should research it first). This is a program a lot of people used to use, again I just don't know about the new Starbound releases working with it. Try that whole stripping down your character thing making sure you're not wearing anything anyway and give it a go if you want.

WARNING: This mod contains it's own button, and may look unruly. To fix, go to mods/kangaru/interface/windowconfig and delete the one file within.Shadewarps Grey's!Very much digging the mod, love how the spaceship is like a flying saucer.Tofuffalo's Kaenid Species!Dig the sprites, and the ship has a great look!AnthonySkunk89's Skunk Species!Sprite work is nice. Loved running around as a traditional skunk with a huge afro.I have tested all of these mods now, simply by downloading, and extracting into the mods folder. No errors as of yet, and they all look great!
